How to properly clean sounds - and it is easy, too!

Here's how to properly use sounds by yourself.

This video refers to sterile lubricant. You can
purchase this at many drug stores, or you can
buy mineral oil and place it in an oven safe
jar (like a mason jar) and place it in a
350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. It will remain
sterile if you follow the process of pouring a
small amount out and recapping the remainder.

What does "French size" mean?

"French size" is a scale used to identify the outer diameter of a catheter. French scale units are obtained by multiplying the outer diameter of the catheter in mm by 3. Or, multiplying the French size by .33 will give the outer diameter of the catheter in mm.

Wanna go to inches? Multiply the French size by .013.

18 French = 5.94mm diameter (18 * .33 = 5.94)
18 French = .234 inch diameter or about 1/4 inch (18 * .013 = .234)
