Attach the rope (chain, or whatever) that is going to hold the person to the solid flat portion of the snap. Attach the rounded part of the snap to the hook you wish to suspend them from. Now, if something should go wrong, a firm pull on the center of the snap, in the direction of the arrow, and the person is loose. Big deal?
