You've probably seen the knock offs of our Ultra Padded Hood on the net and on ebay. We invented this design in 1999 and it has remained one of our best sellers since. Well, we figured that if they are going to be knocked off, who better to control the design than the people who invented it? This is the Ultra Padded Rip Off. No one says we can't poke a little fun at ourselves while we are at it. If you don't want to spring for the real thing, we can tell you this is as good a copy as you will get, and we have seen some of the others! Compare the price as well. Why get a knock off hod from someone who doesn't know or understand how this hood has to be made, when you can get one from the people who invented it? No, it isn't the finest garment leather, no, it doesn't have latigo leather strapping, no, it even doesn't have a leather lace back, but a nylon one. At the same time, it is more hood for the money than you are going to get anywhere. Designed for the average head, and equipped with a 3/8" mouth opening (we compromised between our 1/4" and 1/2" options).
